AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
As a testimony to our commitment to international quality management practices, we were awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification for Quality Management System in July 2009. International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is the world's largest developer of voluntary International Standards. International Standards give state of the art specifications for products, services and good practices, helping to make industries more efficient and effective. Developed through global consensus, these international standards help to break down barriers to international trade.
ISO 9001:2008 sets out the requirements for a QMS where an organisation needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
This standard was revised from ISO 9001:2000. ISO 9001:2008 has been developed in order to introduce clarifications to the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and improve compatibility with ISO 14001:2004. Nevertheless, ISO 9001:2008 does not introduce additional requirements nor does it change the intent of the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
